The Project

SPICE Seismic wave Propagation and Imaging in Complex media: a European network

SPICE is a Marie Curie Research Training Network in the 6th Framework Program of the European Commission. Its focus is research and training in all aspects of computational seismology. The 4-year project started on January 1, 2004.

The SPICE network is comprised of 14 partner institutes throughout Europe each having a postdoc and Ph.D. position. Most positions were filled mid 2004, however there are still a few vacancies in the network. See the Opportunities section for further details.

One of the key goals of SPICE is the assembly of an open software library with tools and algorithms for computational seismlogy. If you want to share your own code via the SPICE library, please apply for a membership at .

SPICE is coordinated by the Geophysics Section, Department of Earth and Environmental Sciencies, Ludwig-Maximilians-University, Munich .
